This course is developed and fulfilled by the National Tax Training School (NTTS). NTTS was founded 1952 and is the oldest and foremost specialized distance education tax school and offers the most complete accredited tax course that was especially prepared for home study. NTTS is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training School (DETC - www.detc.org). NTTS was initially accredited in 1965 and has maintained this prestigious accreditation ever since.
To be accredited, each school must open its doors to a thorough inspection by an outside examining committee, supply all information required by the commission and subject its instructional material and teaching methods to a thorough review by highly qualified subject matter specialists. To retain this accreditation, this inspection and review process is repeated every five years.
This Nationally Accredited Commission is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the "nationally recognized accrediting agency" for home study under terms of Public Law.

Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Preparation Courses
The CFP® Certification Examination is one of the most difficult examinations in the financial services industry, therefore it is imperative to prepare for this exam with a rigorous review program. About the CFP® Certification Examination
The CFP® Certification Examination is administered 3 times per year (typically in the third Friday and Saturday in March, July and November) in 50 major metropolitan areas throughout the US. The examination lasts 10 hours, and is divided into one 4 hour session on a Friday afternoon, and two 3 hour sessions on Saturday. Candidates who wish to take this exam must register and pay about 6 weeks prior to the exam.

You can apply for the CFP® Certification Examination after you have successfully completed an acceptable course of study (or its equivalent). The educational coursework requirement can be met in several ways, including completing a CFP Board-Registered Program, completing equivalent coursework subject to CFP Board's transcript review process, or having one of the designations, credentials or degrees pre-approved by CFP Board. Candidates for certification must have a bachelor's degree, in any discipline, in order to obtain CFP® certification, but this does not have to occur before sitting for the exam or fulfilling the work experience.
